Chapter Point System
What is our point system?
A means by which the chapter can access the participation of each of its members through an organized system of obtaining and logging points ofr hours of participation in chapter activites.
What is the purpose of the point system?
To provide tangible and obtainable incentive for being an active member in our chapter.
Who is eligible for participation?
Any Golden Key member may participate in the point system.
What are the benefits of the point system for general members?
- 10 or more points=an "Active Member," which entitles a general member to a free GK t-shirt.
- 25 points=a "Key Member," which are recognized at general members meetings and the induction ceremony. They receive a certificate of appreciation and a Golden Key stole for graduation.
- The member who earns the most points during 2008 will be the "Member of the Year" and will receive all the benefits of Key Members, plus a gift certificate valuing $50.00. He or she will be recognized at general members meeting and the induction ceremony.
What are the benefits of the point system for officers?
- 25 or more points=a "Bronze Officers," which are entitled to a free GK t-shirt.
- 50 points=a "Silver Officers," which receive recognition at officer meetings, general members meetings and the induction ceremony. They also receive a certificate of achievement and a free Golden Key stole for graduation.
- 75 points=a "Gold Officers," which are awarded a cash certificate valued at $50.00.
- The top officer who earns the most points during 2008 will be the "Officer of the Year" and will receive a monetary award of at least $100.00 (this may vary in value based on their participation and the funds available).
How are points recorded?
The chapter president and/or advisor will keep track of all points earned. Members may be required to sign in at meetings and activites to verify participation and attendance. Except for yearly awards, all points are accumulated beginning at induction. Once a student reaches the highest level, additional incentive may be provided.
